The Erebus website was launched this morning at 9.01am. This year, 2009 marks the 30th anniversary of the tragedy. The new Erebus website has been created to become the most comprehensive source of information on the 1979 Erebus tragedy. It is dedicated to informing others about the accident that took the lives of 257 passengers and crew 30 years ago. NetPotential is proud to have built and worked with NZALPA to create this excellent resource for the public.
There are many interesting features including:
- a newspaper clipping zoom module, which shows the entire scanned article, and allows users to magnify and zoom in to read the text.
- forum for visitors to participate in discussion groups
- audio and video clips
- guestbook
- completely content managed - able to be updated by administrator in real time.
Check out the site yourself: www.erebus.co.nz
