Google Adwords ditches right-side ads in search results

It won't be long before desktop users begin to notice that the Google ads are no longer appearing on the right hand side of their search results.  Instead Google has decided to display four lucrative ads at the top of the search results, and another three ads at the bottom.  

This change is global and will affects all languages,  Although it does now leave it looking a bit empty, it does leave the space open for Google Product Listing Ads:
