Planning your new website

Designing and planning a new website can be a complex process, but it's also an exciting opportunity to create something that will help you achieve your goals. Here are a few key steps that you can take to plan your new website design and content:

  1. Define your goals: What do you want to achieve with your website? Do you want to sell products or services, generate leads, or simply provide information? Defining your goals will help you to make strategic decisions about the design and content of your website.

  2. Understand your audience: Who are you trying to reach with your website? What are their needs and interests? What type of content will they be looking for? Understanding your audience will help you to create content that resonates with them and makes it easy for them to find what they're looking for.

  3. Conduct a competitive analysis: Look at other websites in your industry to see what's working well for them. What types of content and design elements are they using? How can you differentiate your website from the competition? Conducting a competitive analysis will help you to identify opportunities and avoid common pitfalls.

  4. Create a content strategy: Once you know what types of content you want to create, you can plan how to organise it on your website. Create a sitemap that outlines the structure of your website and how different pages will be linked together. You can also create an editorial calendar that outlines when and how you will create and publish new content.

  5. Design your website: Now that we have a good understanding of your goals, audience, and content, we can start designing your website. We can create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes of your website to give you a sense of how it will look and function. Once signed off we'll code the design for best UI/UX and test it on different devices to ensure it looks good from mobile to desktop.

  6. Finalise Content and launch website: Once we have are busy building your website, it's time for you to provide us with finalised content, and any supporting images (we can help coonect you with photographers or help source stock images). After loading all content and final testing, we're ready to launch the website!  Make sure you’ve checked all the links, and all the forms are working fine before going live.

Remember that this is just a general overview and your specific steps may vary depending on your needs and the size and complexity of your website. But following these steps can help ensure that your new website is well-designed, easy to navigate, and effective at achieving your goals.
