When the server dies
In August 2026 the old Windows server behind many of our longest client relationships lost power for good. Within weeks we had recovered more than 230 SQL Server databases (169 GB), brought seven legacy sites back online on a new virtual machine (nopCommerce 3.4 to 4.2, DNN and ASP.NET 3.5 WebForms among them), and moved others to modern hosting, one of them in a single day. That is the job, done for real.

Usually. We copy the site and database first, get it running on stable hosting behind Cloudflare, then plan a move to a modern platform.
Can you move a DNN site to something modern?
Yes. We moved this website off DNN in 2026, keeping every page and redirecting every old address, and we do the same for clients.
Will we lose our Google rankings?
Not if every old URL is mapped to its new address with a 301 redirect, which is part of every move we do.
What if nobody has the source code or documentation?
We work from the database and the running site. We have recovered and documented systems where the original developer and source were long gone.
